"Know ye not, that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" -1Corinthians 3:16 KJV

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." -1Corinthians 10:31 KJV

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." -3 John 1:2 KJV

Our bodies are built up from the food we eat. There is a constant breaking down of the tissues of the body;

every movement of every organ involves waste, and this waste is repaired from our food. Each organ of the body requires its share of nutrition.

The brain must be supplied with its portion; the bones, muscles, and nerves demand theirs.

It is a wonderful process that transforms the food into blood and uses this blood to build up the varied parts of the body;

but this process is going on continually, supplying with life and strength each nerve, muscle, and tissue.

The health of the body is to be regarded as essential for growth in grace and the acquirement of an even temper.

If the stomach is not properly cared for, the formation of an upright, moral character will be hindered.

The brain and nerves are in sympathy with the stomach. Erroneous eating and drinking result in erroneous thinking and acting.

All are now being tested and proved. We have been baptized into Christ, and if we will act our part

by separating from everything that would drag us down and make us what we ought not to be,

there will be given us strength to grow up into Christ, who is our living head, and we shall see the salvation of God.
